La La Ladybug

Lala the Ladybug is made from handpainted muslin. Her handdrawn face was created using acrylics and water colors. She has black tulle under her red and black polka dotted wings and rusty antenna with little rusty jingle bells. She is holding a fragrant bouquet of sweet annie in her wee hands.

Lunafae ~ A Faery from The Faery Hollow

I was driving down the long and winding driveway to my home. On the side of the road where the trees are thickest, I noticed the dappled sunlight on the green ground below. The ground was a lush, thick green. Less grass more wild flowers. There were toadstools, fallen branches and dandelion fluff blowing in the wind. The whole scene was just so lovely. I imagine this is where the faeries live...


Lunafae was created using aged muslin that I've handpainted in acrylics from her head to her little maryjanes. Her face is handdrawn and painted in acrylics. Her blonde locks are real horse hair from a lovely horsey's mane. She has a crown of woven sweet annie. She is wearing a dainty polka dotted skirt with wool sash. Her wings are wired and can be posed slightly. They are covered in real german glass glitter to give her just a little magic sparkle. She has jointed legs and is weighted to sit on her own.
